Flashlights are portable electronic devices that emit light from either a single lightbulb or from LEDs.  Generally flashlights are made up of a light source, a shaped reflective surface, a transparent lens, a power source and a power switch.  Most flashlights are handheld and portable however some come on a head mount to be able to free up the hands.  The type of flashlight or headlight you need will is dependant on the job you are doing.  The light sources can be incandescent, LED or high intensity discharge and each has their own advantages and disadvantages.  Please ensure that whichever light source you are selecting that it will provide you with enough lighting and is not too big or small for what you need.  In some cases, your job may not require you have or carry a flashlight however it can he handy and useful to keep a small pocket sized one with you in case of electrical outages or blackouts.
